As I am sure you already know Greenwich Council has decided not to go ahead with Controlled Parking Zones in Plumstead and Shooters Hill which is a victory for all of you who signed up to Stop the Council Cash Grab.

However they the are still going ahead in Charlton, Kidbrooke and Blackheath, Thamesmead West, and Woolwich

Therefore the website will keep going to support all those of you in those areas who oppose a CPZ being imposed by the Council. The People of Plumstead and Shooters Hill have shown what can be done when they all took a stand and residents in the other affected areas can still continue to fight.

1. Take part in the Consultation, even though it's flawed and rigged you can find a link here: https://sustainable-streets-rbg.commonplace.is/ The Council doesn't want you to object to Controlled Parking Zones (It's official Council policy to impose them everywhere)and Parking Permits so there is no obvious way to do so BUT don't tick boxes on things line what time do you want no Parking and click on OTHER and then say you object to the very idea of a CPZ


2. Write to your Local Councillor and make your objections clear, you can find out who they are here: https://committees.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/mgFindMember.aspx There will be either 2 or 3 in your ward, write to all of them. I have posted some ideas of what to write on the Website, but it could just be short and sweet, I don't want a CPZ there's no need for it where I live and don't take my money...

3. Those from the affected areas can still protest before the Full Council Meeting on Wednesday 24th September 6pm, Woolwich Town Hall Wellington Street SE18 6HQ, saying NO will send a clear message to the Council. Put the date in your Diary/Calendar.

5. I also have a lot of leaflets which mentionSE18, but contain a huge amount of useful information that applies to all the places still affected. You can have a look on the above link by clicking on the CPZ leaflet button, maybe get a felt tip, cross out the 18 and put in 2, 3, 10 or 28?

6. Use Social Media and post to all the local groups to build support.
